In the Røros region, it is possible to hunt for grouse and other game such as elk and wild reindeer. With its many lakes, ponds, rivers and brooks, the area is a paradise for anglers, in both winter and summer.

In Hodalssjøene and Holavassdraget, the trout can reach a weight of up to 6-7 kilos.
